A message to customers of the newly formed Smurfit Kappa Group from Mr. Gary McGann, CEO Smurfit Kappa Group.

The birth of the Smurfit Kappa Group responded to the need for structural change within the European paper-based packaging industry. The new entity is a first step in this process and should, we believe, benefit all stakeholder groups of the combined company in a challenging operating environment.

On behalf of the Management team, I would like to assure you that we shall be doing our utmost to guarantee a smooth integration between the two companies.

Our objective is to take the best of both in every area in order to become a stronger force in the marketplace. We firmly believe that the key to our success is to distinguish ourselves from others by offering the highest quality and most innovative products and services to our customers.

Although it’s early days for our new Group, it’s nevertheless not too soon to be focusing on our vision for the future. We want to be rated by customers as the best paper-based packaging business in our chosen market sectors.
